I’ve been to Prague twice before but neither occasion was one where I could totally channel my inner Artist and go full on Creative Tourist. So, yeah it’s on me bucketlist to go back and properly explore that side of it! This post Rona bucketlist will be a chuffin’ whopper soon enough.
So, let me introduce you to the ‘Prague:Design’ guide that I’ve found. Created for design junkies (well, that’s what we are!), it’s a list of design focused places, events, food spots, and boutiques that you can visit in the Czech capital. Plus, you can also discover a new Designer or two, like I have with Rony Plesl below. He’s a Designer and Sculptor who uses lots of mediums but I’m now quite partial to his glassware. On a side note, I don’t think I’d ever be able to work with glass without seriously injuring myself.
The tradition of Czech glassmaking dates back to the Middle Ages but these days it’s typical to find the tradition of glass making updated with a beltin contemporary twist.
Obviously we’ll be following Rona guidelines for the foreseeable with an everchanging mix and match of what’s open and what we’re allowed to do. The guide however features some open air architecture that you can wander around, non-contact boutiques that you can peruse, or takeaway restaurants that you could visit now… if already in Prague!
Grab your guide and day dream about your next trip with a visit to the Prague:Design site here. In the meantime why not pin your fave designs, or even check out if any are peddling their wares online with international delivery?! There, that should keep you busy for bit.
Which Euro cities will fuel your next design loving trip? Come for a chinwag in me comments, love.
