Vegan Junk Food Bar: Marie Heinekenplein 9, 1072 MH Amsterdam, Netherlands
It’s a fact that the world’s population and climate change are reaching tipping point. One thing that we can all do to help is to eat less meat… David Attenborough even said so himself! Anyway, in a quest to do my bit and eat less meat, I started googling for vegan bits ‘n’ bobs, and came across the Dutch ‘Vegan Junk Food Bar’. It’s a cracker!
I believe that the concept of vegan junk food has to be somewhat the future. People are becoming aware of meat’s impact on the climate, so consumer behaviour is changing. I’ve seen stats on the news that more and more people are already eating less meat, and surely this will increase. At some point, governments are going to have to promote eating less meat and put restrictions on the amount of meat sold as fast food, right?
In all honesty, I’m also interested in eating more healthily, so I’m really interested in this concept of vegan junk food. Anything to get more veggies in me! I’m still a bit child like… I like to blend them into to things so that I can’t taste them, or season the shit out of them. I know it’s terrible but the idea of vegan junk food has got me looking at veg in a whole new way. It can be tasty!!
I love concept cafes, and would love to visit the Vegan Junk Food Bar. It mixes brightly coloured meals with a cool graffiti theme, which also extends to its interior design. Even its sauces come in paint style bottles! The place is a chuffin’ dream for snapping some new Insta pics too. It’s already in several locations in The Netherlands, and they have plans to go global. I really hope that they do!
Know a cool concept cafe that I’d like? Plop it in me comments, cock.
